An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a graduate in Operations Management/Manufacturing Systems Engineering or similar to help achieve major development of our manufacturing systems. The main focus of the appointment will be in developing ‘planning and control’ systems to enable rapid, reliable response in support of sales and operations planning in the wider supply chain.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will be instrumental in analysing, designing and implementing system changes, to include quality management. You will also be a key member of the team organising the factory relocation.

It is essential that you have knowledge of manufacturing systems and are keen to develop your expertise in operations and supply chain planning and control, based on the Theory of Constraints. Ideally you will also have good business and commercial awareness. Self-motivation and the ability to work independently are essential skills to enable you to work effectively in this demanding environment.

This post is with Nottingham Trent University in the form of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). You will be supported by the University’s KTP team and have the benefit of an extensive training and development package, including the KTP Associate Diploma in Management programme, which is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute. You will also have the opportunity to undertake a Masters Degree or professional qualification. A successful project may lead to permanent employment with the company.
